Congressman Cresent Hardy (NV-4) today met for the first time with the City of North Las Vegas's newly installed Chief of Police Alexander Perez, who made history as the first Hispanic to be appointed to the position.

"Chief Perez's 24 years of experience speaks for itself, and I was glad to hear today of how he's already working to build bridges that will bring this community together," Congressman Hardy said. "His dedication to the people of North Las Vegas really stood out to me."

The pair met to discuss the state of law enforcement and safety in North Las Vegas, which is situated within the congressman's district.

"It's good to know our elected officials are tuned in to what matters," Chief Perez said. "Congressman Hardy's office shares the fifth floor of North Las Vegas City Hall with some of my staff, which means he and his team are easily accessible, especially for residents who already have business to conduct with the City."
